The most underrated pen I own. Caran d'Ache 849 Fountain Pen

I was relatively unaware of the Caran d'Ache 849 Fountain pen until late last year, but once I discovered it I was blown away. This is a relatively unassuming pen body...with the exception of the bright finishes...that hold a powerhouse steel nib. The pen body is hexagonal and made of aluminum with a metal pocket clip. The nib is steel and runs true to European sizes in my experience. This nib has never failed me. I keep one in my purse and have left it it there bouncing around, unused for months and have not had it dry up or make a mess. The writing experience is smooth as can be with the body being well weighted and balanced. The cap clicks in securely with a nice snap, very satisfying. Current MSRP is $82.00 but we offer a nice discount on this pen. putting it in the price range of a lot of pens but delivering much more value in my opinion.
