Picking the perfect pen size for you!

Fountain pen collecting, for me, seems like it's been this crazy path of buying something always in hope that it "feels" right to me. A pen has to be comfortable in my opinion. I am a collector that uses my pens regularly and I want them to be a comfortable size for long writing sessions with a smooth nib. But all of us are different and finding what is comfortable can be a long process. When you find it though, its sublime! Keep trying them out and narrowing down what you do and don't like. Ask people in pen clubs or online what they like and don't like, it will help narrow it all down and then before you know it you fine "the one". Weight, diameter, postability, nib size...there are so many variables to consider.
The Pilot Vanishing Point is one of my favorite pens and I have it with the five different nibs, one of which, the EF, I cringe when I try to use it, it feels like sandpaper to me but at pen club I watched a mans eyes light up when he tried that one. It was cool to see and that's the reason I keep that scratchy nib(LOL)! Today photo is of my set on Montblanc Around the World in 80 Days LeGrands...the LeGrand is the perfect size pen for me!
