More reasons I love Seaside...

More reasons I love Seaside...

This morning I needed to get to the shop and pack and ship some orders. When that was done I realized I needed to run some errands but I had extra time. This is what followed... I left the shop and dropped off the shipments at the USPS in Seaside. Popped across Hwy 101 and went into the library to work on some pen shop business. Seaside Library is one the the loveliest and most comfortable libraries I have ever been too. If you have not been, I highly recommend it for just sitting and reading. Cozy chairs, plants everywhere and a fireplace( and BOOKS). As I was finishing up those tasks I realized I was getting hungry so back across the street to Seaside Coffee House for some breakfast and tea. I spent a few minutes sketching while I waited for my breakfast, I am not good at sketching but I do it anyway.  There is always some lively conversation going on in the coffee shop so thats good fun as well.  Finished up my breakfast just after 10 and the book store was open. Walked across the street to Beach Books which is probably my favorite books store anywhere. I am currently reading some classics I had never read so my special orders were in. I picked those up as well as the book for this years One Coast, One Book read (more on that in another blog) and the next book club reads. There is a tremendous opportunity to join books clubs here in the Seaside area, it's not even possible for me to go to all of them! I had forgotten I need to pick up some ingredients for dinner so I went back to the store for those. Started heading home to Gearhart...Gearhart is just north of Seaside and many people think it's one city....one last stop at Prep Kitchen to grab one of the most delicious pies I have had in my life and back home.

Somehow I got all the errands done and still has one heck of an enjoyable morning. It's really true that sometimes you need to stop and smell the roses!
