Fifty4T Titan Ultem "review"

Fifty4T Titan Ultem "review"

I don't normally do pen reviews...I have never set a criteria so it wouldn't really be fair to do so unless/until I did. But, that is not going to stop me from tooting the horn of this new pen I just bought for myself. Couple things first...I did buy this, no freebies, no discounts. I chose to spend my money on a couple small makers in Ireland. Why you ask...well, I love Ireland and I love small makers so easy peasy. I chose a couple pens/makers after having read online information and watching some reviews. The Fifty4T Titan Ultem is one of the two I chose.

It's an expensive pen and I appreciate the amount of work involved in this process so to me it has good value. After the first obstacle of price I got to the Ultem material, yellow is not my favorite color however I decided that if I was going in on the ultra engineered look I might as well go all the way. Next obstacle....I do not like vacuum fillers and this filling system was looking vacuum like until I watched another video on it specifically. OK, pen ordered. My pen arrived about ten days after I ordered it which I found surprising considering all the foreign shipments I have getting stuck in customs. I opened the shipping box and find that the pen comes in a very cool Pelican like plastic case. Love it. The machining on the pen is perfection. The Ultem is yellow. I figured out the filling system, which ended up being far simpler than I expected. Pen loaded, I put pen to paper and ...what?!? Is this a steel nib? Unbelievably smooth writing experience. I am so surprised that I decide to write this up right away and vow to revisit my opinion a month into using it daily. I am extremely picky about my nibs and there are some amazing looking pens out there that I won't buy just because of their nibs. Writing, to me, has to be smooth and effortless. No hard starts or railroading for me. This nib is made in house as far as I can tell and they did it right!

There are plenty of "real" reviews out there. I encourage you to check them out for details like size, weight and materials, I am just here to tell you this feels amazing and writes perfectly. See you in a month when I revisit the pens performance.
