Amsterdam Airport-Schiphol- Montblanc Shop
Share
Imagine my surprise to step off my flight from Portland to Amsterdam and right into the Montblanc shop at the airport! Of course they would not allow me to purchase anything without a departure boarding card but I had a look around and upon departure they still had the Rouge Et Noir Marble Serpent fountain pen so I purchased that one as it seems its sold out most places I have been. If you happen to be flying from Amsterdam I definitely recommend stopping by as they had several other limited edition pens that are not available in the US at any of the places I have been.
A bonus pen in the shop right now is the Montblanc Amsterdam 750th Anniversary Ballpoint pen. Montblanc and Gassan have co-created a Meisterstuck ball point pen celebrating the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam as a city…it’s a limited edition of only 750 pens featuring an engraving of the iconic Amsterdam Canal Houses in silhouette on the cap. One of the houses has a diamond shaped window as a nod to the cities long history with the diamond industry. It’s a lovely pen, and while I have and use just a few ballpoints, I did purchase one while I was there to list for sale on my website. I am under the impression that you can order them still from Gassan online but I struggled to get an order placed and walked away from that for now, perhaps you will be more successful!
