A nice treasure from Appelboom
Share
I have just returned from a trip to visit relatives in Holland (the Netherlands) and while there had wanted to visit four of my favorite online pen shops…unfortunately time did not permit for three of them, but I did make it to Appelboom in Laren as it’s just a twenty minute drive from where I was staying. It’s a nice little town with a lot of cafes close by and I arrived early so parking was no problem. I have purchased a lot of pens from Appelboom in the past and I was happy to see its a nice shop with excellent service. I was happy to be able to ask some questions and even happier to find a Taccia Leisurely Passage of Time Sunset Sky fountain pen in stock. This pen uses colorful foil overlaid with urushi laquer…its a lovely pen in photo but in person it absolutely beams, what a beauty! These pens are limited edition of 80 each ( this one is 03/80) and Joost Appelboom let me know they are not available in the US as we get different pens there than they do in Europe. That explains why I had not seen these before! I have to say I would like to see more Taccia pens in person as I am very impressed with this one.
